Buenas noticias señores! Armaholic, ese gran arsenal de contenido para nuestra querida saga ARMA ha aumentado su velocidad de conexión!
Últimamente había caído bastante la velocidad en sus espejos de descargas y claro está hay mucho nuevo que descargar con la salida de ARMA 3, sumando a que no ha parado el flujo de novedades para ARMA 2, así que en ocasiones llevaba más tiempo de lo normal conseguir ese nuevo addon para nuestros juegos, pero al parecer esto se acabó!!

Over the past few months we have seen a massive increase in visitors here on Armaholic. Of course that is a good thing and we enjoy seeing everyone use our website for what we made it. We also hope you keep using our services as you have done till now.
However, good things sometimes cause bad things. In this case the increase in visitors caused massive overload on our servers bandwidth. If a few hundred people are downloading at the same time on a 100MB line I think you all understand this will result in slow downloadspeed, no matter what we do.
Yes, we have read all the forum posts and have seen all the emails we recieved the past few months. But there is only so much we can do at some point.
But today it is time for an announcement which will hopefully bring a smile back on the face of many of our daily visitors, that are roughly between 50k - 75k unique visitors every day!
In order to be ready for the future we decided it was time to improve our services. And last night I asked our server host to install a dedicated 1Gbit port on the Armaholic.net file server. This means we can now serve files, on the .net server, with 1000MB/s 24 hours a day!
The French server we are using as an additional mirror is also being reconfigured to offer better downloadspeeds.
Of course these kind of ports, not to mention the bandwidth used, come at a price. A price we can only afford cause you all visit our website, browse our pages and use our resources and we hope you will continue to do so.
However, there will be expensive times ahead of us due to this, not to mention the fact the file server we use is already a few years old and will soon have to be replaced.
Normally we do not ask for anything in return but to those of you who are in a position where you may have some cash left and you enjoy our services and wish to support us we kindly ask you to sent a donation! This will help us a great deal.
To those who are unable to donate or just do not want to do that we kindly ask you to configure any possible ad-block you may be using properly so you support Armaholic while browsing our pages.
